Full prepayment is required 30 days before the event date based on contracted minimums, with any additions invoiced separately.

What is the hourly rate for the Film and Photo space and what equipment is included?

The Film and Photo space is a state-of-the-art digital studio with podcast room that can be hired independently or as part of venue spaces. Hire includes all equipment and onsite technicians, featuring in-house autocue camera setup, lighting, sound, streaming capabilities, and video equipment to ensure smooth technical experiences. Hire of the space is 09.00-1700 and 18.00-23.00.

Are there restrictions on filming hours and what security requirements apply?

For events running past 19:00, security is mandatory at £28 per hour with a minimum 4-hour shift. The venue operates with standard business hours, and evening filming sessions will incur additional security costs that must be factored into budgets.

What catering options are available for film and photo shoots?

Catering can be arranged with options including tea/coffee service at £5.10-£7.25 per person per serving, filtered water from £1.85 per serving, and various food options from selection of sandwiches with sides at £25 per person to hot fork buffets from £39 per person. Minimum catering spends may apply depending on space usage.

What is the capacity of the Film and Photo space and can it connect to other venue areas?

The digital studio and podcast room can be hired independently or as part of the venue's 13 flexible event spaces. It can be combined with other areas of 10 Union Street, with maximum capacity of 4 people in podcast room and up to 25 people in the studio

Can external equipment be brought in and are there power/technical limitations?

The space includes comprehensive in-house equipment with lighting, sound, streaming, video, and autocue camera setup. The venue provides professional-grade technical infrastructure and onsite technicians to support various filming and recording needs. While we may allow external equipment onsite- these may not be used alongside our in-house equipment and must have an up to date PAT certificates and RAMS.

How far in advance should I book and what is the cancellation policy?

To confirm a booking, a client profile must be created and a contract issued. A 50% deposit is required in advance to secure the venue, with the remaining balance payable prior to the event date. Payments can be made by BACS or credit/debit card. Cancellation terms are available on the issued contract.

What technical support is provided and are there additional charges for technicians?

Onsite technicians are included with the hire to handle all technical aspects and prevent technical issues. The space comes with professional lighting, sound, streaming, and video capabilities, plus autocue camera setup for presentations, recordings, panel debates, and interviews.

Can the digital studio accommodate live streaming and what are the capabilities?

Yes, the digital studio includes streaming capabilities as part of the equipment package. The space is designed for recording, presentations, panel debates, and interviews with professional-grade streaming and video equipment included in the hire.
