The beautiful Red Drawing Room was a place where George's elegant female guests would withdraw to following dinner in the Banqueting Room. It retains much of its original 1820s striking decorative scheme incorporating the Royal Pavilion's distinctive dragon wallpaper and palm tree pillars. The room offers a warm and beautiful space for smaller scale events and intimate seated dinners. Not part of the public tour, your guests will get to enjoy a part of the palace not seen by many. Hire the room alone or with the King William IV room as a suite.
Banqueting Room

The elaborate and glittering State Banqueting Room, highly theatrical in style, was the perfect backdrop for the celebrated feasts that George would have offered his courtiers and guests. In situ is a grand table, a permanent exhibit, offering a setting truly fit for a grand gathering. You may not serve the 70 dishes that George would lavish his guests with but you will certainly delight in this room which oozes splendour and extravagance with a dazzling centrepiece chandelier held in the claws of a glorious silvered dragon. The Royal Pavilion's recipe for a great event? Drinks in the Great Kitchen, followed by a seated dinner in the state Banqueting Room. The Royal Pavilion's notable Great Kitchen was modern for its time, George who was obsessed with food and dining conceived this kitchen and would often escort his VIP guests to impress them with his innovative facilities. This spacious room, taking its light from skylights in the roof, was not without its own 'taste of the Orient'. In line with the rest of the decorative scheme, it incorporates cast-iron columns ornamented with abundant painted palm leaves.

The Music Room is one of our most spectacular and impressive State Rooms. Its extraordinary interior is lit by nine lotus-shaped chandeliers with stunning walls decorated with rich red and gold canvasses in the Chinoiserie style. The windows are dressed with blue silk-satin draperies supported by carved flying dragons. The gilded dome is made up of hundreds of plaster cockleshells creating an illusion of height, making it hard not to look up as you enter the space. We welcome professional photographers and film-makers throughout the year and can provide a mix of interior and outdoor locations
