Ultimate Christmas Party Songs as Chosen by our Venue Managers

With Christmas Parties being the most booked type of events lately, we ask some of our most festive Venue Managers what their favourite songs for an office Christmas party were!

Claire Bastin, Senior Venues Manager at The Postal Museum said that her favourite song for an office Christmas party is Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses.

“The song is from the 80’s and I’m a sucker for 80’s music!” said the festive museum #eventprof.

Jason Ehrhart from Puttshack told us that their top tune is Cliff Richard’s Mistletoe and Wine. Why?

“There are many reasons, the primary of which is that if you replace the word ‘mistletoe’ with ‘mini golf’, it still has a great ring to it. Not least because that is the essence of Christmas at Puttshack. Christmas cheer and seasonal timing, mini golf on our 9 hole courses and a whole lotta wine. Because what’s Christmas time without at least a few glasses of red or white? Mistletoe may not guarantee fun. Super-tech mini golf on the other hand…”

As for the eclectic Street Feast #eventprofs, Emma Howe, Sales & Events Director at Street Feast said,

“For us, it would be Old Dirty Brasstards' version of ‘All I want for Christmas’. It gets everyone dancing and is a modern twist on one of the most popular feel-good Christmas songs with our own Street Feast Winterville touch!”

Meanwhile, the fantastic team behind BMA House picks Fairytale of New York by The Pogues as their absolute favourite Christmas tune (fun fact: it’s also our Co-Founder’s favourite!).

“After a heavy Christmas dinner, this song gets us up and onto the dance floor to get our groove on! It brings with it that magical nostalgic feeling of parties from our youth. Once we’re up, there’s no sitting back down!” Rebecca Hurley, Venue Marketing Manager at BMA House.

Amelia Simmonds, otherwise known as the Christmas Queen at ITA Venues, shared that the tune for their team was definitely 12 Days of Christmas. They love it so much that they have even made their own version - 12 Venues of Christmas!

“The team and I love it because it covers everything off about our crazy, fabulous festive season and everyone loves to get involved – you heard it here first! Each department signs a different line (and stands up as they sing it) but obviously, everyone gets up for five gold rings.”
